"It's not over, the way Spurs are going through things at the moment". Charlie Nicholas' Champions League predictions
The Champions League is back - and Sky Sports pundit Charlie Nicholas has given us his predictions...
Tottenham take what looks a comfortable 3-0 lead to Dortmund on Tuesday night, hoping for better form than the one draw and two defeats from their last three games.
Manchester United face a seemingly tougher task when they visit PSG on Wednesday, trailing 2-0 from the home leg and knowing they need to score at least three to progress. Real Madrid also take on Ajax, and Porto host Roma.
Tuesday
Borussia Dortmund vs Tottenham (agg: 0-3)
It's not over, the way Spurs are going through things at the moment. There's some tidying up to be done. Spurs are on the ropes, not playing well, the effort and energy is there but defensively they're vulnerable. Pochettino doesn't know what his best centre-back pairing is, it's disrupted them.
Dortmund were the better team at Wembley in the first half but ended up losing 3-0 so we know how quickly this can turn - I think Spurs need a goal to get through, and I think they will because there's a goal in them. It's going to be a nervy night, but Dortmund will have to go gung-ho which helps them.
Charlie's prediction: 3:1
Real Madrid vs Ajax (agg: 2-1)
Real are a very unpredictable beast at the moment. They can win the Madrid derby, but then put to the sword twice in a week against Barcelona.
Ajax are a decent side, they like to attack and it's nice to see them back in the upper echelons of European football. But there's no way they're going through. Real will do enough, they're unconvincing but I think they'll pick them off.
Charlie's prediction: 3:1
Wednesday
Porto vs Roma (agg: 1-2)
It's tighter than I expected going into the second leg. Roma were my dark horses, in that they need to avoid the top draw, but I expect them to get through.
Eden Dzeko didn't score in the first leg but Nicolo Zaniolo got both. I feel like he's a bit special on these occasions though.
I wouldn't be surprised if Roma go and win in Porto, and that's what I've gone for.
Charlie's prediction: 0:1
PSG vs Manchester United (agg: 2-0)
Although Neymar's been missed, big Edinson Cavani's fit now and Kylian Mbappe was among the goals at the weekend again.
I just can't see United getting anything. PSG can sit, take time, control possession and seeing United at the weekend, they still have defensive problems and I expect PSG to beat them again.
The reality check for Manchester United was PSG being a better team than them. I know they've got injuries but so have PSG, and the reality is this is where Manchester United are - they're going for the top four, still in the FA Cup and that's what they're going after.
Charlie's prediction: 2:0
