Atletico Madrid vs Juventus: Latest odds, team news, preview and predictions
The Estadio Wanda Metropolitano hosts this season's Champions League final and on Tuesday night Atletico Madrid host Juventus there.
Diego Simeone's side come into the last 16 clash in indifferent form, having lost their last home game against Real Madrid and failing to convince at the weekend in their 1-0 La Liga win over Rayo Vallecano.
Juventus, meanwhile, are the unbeaten leaders of Serie A and head to the Spanish capital full of confidence, although Massimiliano Allegri's side have already lost two games in the Champions League this season.
Latest odds
Atletico are the slight favourites on Tuesday pricing them at 15/8 (2.87) for the win, while Juventus can be backed at 19/10 (2.90).
The last time these two sides met came back in the group stages in 2014 when they played out a 0-0 draw in Turin. Another stalemate is priced at 2/1 (3.00).
Team news
Diego Costa returned from two months out injured at the weekend, coming on in the second half of Atletico's 1-0 win, although he may not be fit enough to start here. Defender Lucas Hernandez missed Saturday's game and is unlikely to feature.
Juve are without winger Juan Cuadrado while full-back Alex Sandro missed Friday night's Serie A victory over Frosinone, but he should return.
Preview
Atletico Madrid have played 29 Champions League matches at home under Diego Simeone, losing on just two occasions. Even more impressively, they have won 22 of those games and 17 of those victories have come without conceding.
Not only are clean sheets extremely common when Atletico play at home in Europe, but Juve have been strong at the back this term with four clean sheets in six Champions League games.
Although the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Antoine Griezmann and Paulo Dybala are all set to feature, this could be a game where few goal-scoring opportunities are afforded.
Arguably two of the best centre-back pairings in the continent will come up against one another, with Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini marshalling Juve's defence whilst Atleti boast Diego Godin and Jose Gimenez.
Tips and predictions
Both teams to score 'no' is priced at 3/4 (1.75) which should be of interest here, while opposing a goal before the 35th minute at 5/6 (1.83) should also appeal greatly.
However, both teams to score 'no' and under 2.5 goals is possibly the best option here at 9/10 (1.90), though.
