It is certainly a joy to watch Hammarby this season. They are playing an attacking and open brand of football and are currently the best scoring team in the league. Their main attacking forces are a pair of strikers Muamer Tankovic and Nikola Djurdjic. Tankovic currently leads the league in goals scored,12, and in assists with 7 of them. He scored in 6 consecutive games and will certainly try to do the same here. Last time they played Falkenbergs they were clinical in front of the goal. I can see them scoring at least 4 goals with ease in this game. They do not have any players injured or suspended for this game.
If you take a look at the head to head records between these 2 teams, Elsborg leads Djurgardens 15-7. In the league, they have played 14 times at Elfborg's homeground in which Elfsborg won 9 times, drawn 3 times and lost 2 times. The last time Djurgarden won at this ground was 2014 and prior to that, Djurgardens won the other game back in 2005. The following are the last 5 games played at Elfsborg's home:
23/04/18
Elfsborg - Djurgardens 2 : 2
19/09/17
Elfsborg - Djurgardens 2 : 2
28/04/16
Elfsborg - Djurgardens 3 : 0
16/08/15
Elfsborg - Djurgardens 2 : 0
26/10/14
Elfsborg - Djurgardens 0 : 1
Based on these records, it is quite clear that the Boras Arena Stadium is quite a difficult ground for Djurgardens. With Elfsborg performing pretty well at home managing to draw with Norrkoping, Hammarby and Hacken who are all strong top 5 teams, I believe that they should be able to perform the same against Djurgardens. Their defence is pretty discipline and it is their current defence strength that is keeping their hopes alive. The last game against Kalmar, it was a penalty decision against them that allowed Kalmar to score first but Elfsborg came back very strongly in the 2nd half to win the game 2-1.
Elfsborg to win/draw.
