Nurnberg do not have such a pretty looking record vs Hamburg but I will be backing Nurnberg on this. Honestly, Hamburg has been disspointing. They were expected to beat Darmstadt but only manage to draw. They were even expected to get promoted to top flight but squandered all their chances by drawing and losing games towards the 6-8 games of last season. Nurnberg still do have players who competed in top flight and they should have enough quality to overcome most of the teams when they play home. They have been relegated, it is painful, lesson learned. Stuttgart, Paderborn, Heidenheim, Hannover amd together with Hamburg, they should be the other ones all competing for the top 5 spots.
Nurnberg to win.
If you'd watch all of Dudelange's past 3 European away games, they have always had a bad 1st half but manage to make a comeback in the 2nd half. I would not really say that they play well in the 2nd half but all the 3 teams Valetta, Shkendija and Kalju Nomme allowed them to get back into the game. Valetta. Valetta was complacent in the 2nd half after leading in the 1st half, took things easily and Dudelange equalised. Against Shkendija, the keeper made a howler to allow Dudelange to equalize and later win through a controversial penalty.
Kalju controlled the whole game but failed to find the net, in the end, Dudelange won.
Now, looking at Ararat Armenia's calibre who have the capability to beat AIK Solna at home, do you think Ararat will make the same mistakes like all the 3 teams Dudelange have faced? Ararat plays very well at home. The only setback was the game vs Saburtalo. One of their man was down in midfield, some of the players were signalling the referee but the referee allowed the game to go on.. Saburtalo scored from that confusion. Just a some tough luck on a bad decision.
Comparing the 2 teams, Ararat is definitely the team with more attacking prowess and I don't think they will fail to find the net especially on home soil. If they have the ability to match AIK, they should get this job done. Many prediction sites speak highly of Dudelange but all the 3 teams which Dudelange played were weaker teams. How can you compare winning against weaker teams and expecting the same result from Dudelange when they play a stronger team? I personally do not think Ararat will make the same mistakes as how Valetta, Shkendija and Kalju did. Ararat is just 1 more step away from qualifying, they certainly know they have to win tonight and bring it into the 2nd leg.
Ararat Armenia to win.
Ararat Armenia to win by HT since Dudelange have always had a bad 1st half.
