Suwon Bluewings has been performing of late. They were rather slow start of the season but it looks like they are picking up. Their main objective now is to breakaway from the bottom teams and get up the ladder. Suwon is better at home rather than away but their opponent Jeju is struggling and under performing at the moment. Suwon should win this but to be safe play X2. I do not see Suwon losing this game and to support this fact, Suwon do have good records against Jeju.
Safe Option : X2 Brave Option : 2 Other Option: To wait till the X2 odds go higher if halftime score stands at 0-0 and buy X2 since goals do not come that fast in this league.
This match pits No.2 vs No.3. Ulsan is just 2 points away from leader Jeonbuk and they're in search of a victory today to get back on top of the table.
Of late, both Ulsan and Seoul have been conceding goals and been trailing in their games. Ulsan were trailing 0-1 to Gangwon last 2 weeks but strongly came back in the 2nd half to nick a 2-1 victory. In their last game against Sangju, they were leading 2-1 until Sangju fought back to tie 2-2 in injury time. As for Seoul, they conceded 4 goals to Jeonbuk and 4 goals to Jeju in last 3 games. Seoul has been knowned to always trail in a game but they have always found a way to fight back to a win or draw in the 2nd half but looking at their recent games, there seems to be no improvement in their defence and they are heavily leaking goals.
Ulsan oftenly plays a slow pace amd controlling game. They sometimes do not meet expectations vs some of the bottom half teams but when it comes to a team who are challenging them for the title, they sure do know how to deal with it and that's how they beat Jeonbuk 2-1 back in May and drew 1-1 away 2 games back. They also manage to come back from a strong Gangwon lead to win the game 2-1. After beating 4th place Gangwon, it now means it is a clear top 3 running for the title.
Should Ulsan beat Seoul, it will definitely give Seoul a tough task to chase the top 2 and that leaves only Ulsan challenging Jeonbuk for the title in which Ulsan is having all the advantage having played Jeonbuk.
Ulsan is currently 6 points behind the leader Jeonbuk and needs to reduce the gap to keep chase on the title. Ulsan have 2 matches in hand compared to Jeonbuk and they need to maintain or reduce their 6 points gap and take advantage of the 2 games in hand to compete for tge title. Gangwon is quite a tough team and are challenging to break intot the top 3. One thing about Ulsan, when it comes to tough matches and opponents who are challenging for the title, they sure know how to handle it and that was how they beat Jeonbuk at home back in May and drew with them away just last week. Ulsan should have the quality just enough to beat Gangwon.
Fresh from an excellent 4-0 win performance last Tuesday against Sangju Sangmu, Gangwon is highly tipped to win this match but there is a need to anticipate that there may be squad rotation taking place . Gangwon just played on Tuesday and they have an important away game with Ulsan Hyundai on Sunday. 3 games in a space of 3 days each could take some toll of Gangwon's pace. However, Gyeongnam who started the season pretty well have fallen all the way down to the relegation group. Gyeongnam is currently the worst away team in the league. Reason being, their defence is leaking goals badly. Gangwon should have the quality to still win this game marginally.
Safe Option: 1X (due to squad rotation) Brave Option: 1
FC Seoul is in a 3 corner fight for the League Title. Ulsan Hyundai won yesterday and FC Seoul needs to step up their game and close up the gap with the 2 leaders. Jeju is not that bad at home but being a top 3 team, FC Seoul should be able to grind out a win here. FC Seoul have been slacking past 2 games but they were tougher games who are top 5 in the league. They had a frustrating 2-2 draw with Gangwon at home which they should have won but Gangwon, the current 4th best team played too well. If FC Seoul can settle down their nerves in the first 15-20 mins, then it will look good for a win. They have often allowed their opoonents to score first but they have proven to comeback very strongly with wins in the 2nd half. They need this win to get back on points with the leaders.
Both teams have a high tendency to concede goals. The away team concedes on average, 2 goals per game. This should happen as we see more action after halftime. Fingers crossed.
With a string of consecutive good results, it is hard not to pick Suwon for this tie and from their last game, it looks like Suwon have found back theirbgood form.
