Iran vs Portugal tips

Ronaldo was impressive against Spain and played ok against Morocco. You know that Portugal have scored 4 goals on this WC and all of these goals were scored by Cristiano Ronaldo. He's a main star of his team and obviously he's the main threat for their opponents. Yesterday Harry Kane made a hat-trick and he's the top scorer on this WC at that moment. Cristiano will try to score more than once in order to be the best striker on the tournament. Let's bet on Ronaldo to score anytime - yes.

There's top spot to play for in this game for Portugal but it's more than just that for Cristiano Ronaldo. He would have seen what Romelu Lukaku and Harry Kane did in their last matches and we all know about the individual ego and his quality. Portugal will definitely want to finish top of this group so they'll be going all out for victory but I can see this being a little awkward. Iran didn't look the worst side against Spain and there is still a chance they could go through and send Portugal out. There's still a little bit of tension in the air but I'm going to back Ronaldo to get back on the scoresheet in a Portugal win.

Iran have done OK so far and, despite losing narrowly to Spain, they still have a chance of getting out of this group.

I don't see it happening, though, although their Portuguese coach Carlos Queiroz will know all about Portugal after managing them twice.

I thought Portugal's passing was poor in their last game, a win over Morocco, but they always seem to find a way, helped by Cristiano Ronaldo of course.

Iran have three points after two matches and need a shock win over Portugal to finish in the top two.
Portugal have four points after two matches and need to better Spain's result to secure top spot in Group B.
Even though Iran beat Morocco, Portugal have the easier final group game and should be confident of finishing top.
