Lille are second in Ligue 1 but miles behind leaders PSG. Their target is to qualify for the Champions League and they are currently four points clear of third-placed Lyon and St Etienne who are fourth. They had a poor run of home form leading up to the winter break with three draws and a loss to Toulouse. That defeat ended a run of nine home league games this season without a loss. This year has seen them play twice and they have won both their games. A League Cup win over Sochaux was followed by a 3-1 league win at Caen.
While Lille are dreaming of Champions League football, Amiens are just hoping to stay in Ligue 1. They are 17th in the table and a point above the relegation zone but have played a game more. Amiens have only won one of their last seven league games and that was away at bottom of the table Guingamp. Only four of their last 17 league games have been won. Away form started appallingly with just one point from their first six league games but has picked up a bit with just one loss in the last five though the best results have come against teams in the bottom half of the table. Going into this game they still have the worst away record in the league. Lille have the better form here and with home advantage can get the three points.
