Fulham have lost each of the last four outings, one of them an FA Cup clash, which means all they have to play for is the league, and survival to be precise. For Brighton, the last three matches have ended winless and they booked a replay with West Bromwich Albion in the FA Cup courtesy of a barren draw on Saturday but they are in much better shape compared to Fulham, with two wins in their last 10 matches. Fulham have two wins in the last 19 matches but in the Premier League at home they have three wins in the last 10. Brighton on the other hand, have three wins in their last 10 Premier League matches but are winless in the last four away league matches, conceding twice in each of their last three away league games. To be fair on Brighton, they have faced top sides in their last two league matches – Liverpool and Manchester United and those came right after a few other tricky matches against Arsenal, Everton and West Ham United. Brighton have not lost to Fulham in the last six competitive meetings and overall, in 12 meetings, Brighton have seven wins and Fulham three.

Fulham are having a very difficult year but have shown improvements of late and will take solice from their display against Tottenham, albeit in a losing cause. Brighton have had just three days to prepare for this with their FA Cup exploits at the weekend and have lost five of eight on the road including at Cardiff and Burnley.
Fulham were unfortunate in their last home defeat against Tottenham. Ryan Babbel looks a good signing and he now has had time to settle in. Brighton have not quite been on the form they showed earlier in the season.

Fulham were knocked out of the FA Cup in the third round by Oldham, so they haven't played since they lost late on to Tottenham.
The Cottagers are on a run of three league defeats, which has left them seven points adrift of safety, and they are running out of time to get out of trouble.
There is an argument that Claudio Ranieri has improved them since taking charge at the start of December - despite Ryan Babel being their only signing so far this month - but he has not improved them enough to win some games.
Therein lies the problem, and it is hard to see things changing much at this stage of the transfer window.
Brighton, who drew with West Brom in the FA Cup on Saturday, have lost their last two league games against Liverpool and Manchester United.
But the Seagulls are still sitting pretty comfortably in mid-table and I don't see them getting dragged into the relegation scrap.
They probably only need another eight points to stay up, with the way the league is shaping up, and I think they will get one of them on Tuesday.
