Everton facing Wolverhampton Wanderers will be one of the most anticipated matches this weekend as both sides look to rise to the Europa League spots. Each of the two has picked three wins in the last five matches but Wolves are unbeaten in their last three matches, one being a draw. As for Everton, they will aim to appease their home fans following their disappointing exit to the FA Cup at the hands of lowly Millwall. They get to play at home for the first time in four matches, which adds to their punch, having picked wins in their last two matches, though against much weaker teams. However, with just one win in the last five home league matches, they have a lot of ground to cover. They face a Wolves side that has scored two or more goals in four of the last five matches and lost just one of the last five away games. Wolves have picked seven points in the last five away matches in the league, two more points than what Everton have managed at home. Wolves have however managed no clean sheet in their last seven away matches. The two sides have drawn in five of the last seven meetings, while all through Wolves have not beaten Everton, with the Merseyside team winning two.
Both sides drew 2-2 on the opening day of the season however Wolves are in a much better place now and have recorded back to back wins over West Ham & Leicester where they netted seven goals in the process and i feel they will be good enough to go and claim all three points against an Everton side that have been struggling throughout this season, Everton have won just once in their last five home matches and lost 2-3 at Millwall in the cup so an away win looks good value here.
