Everton got the draw they wanted against Liverpool last week, and I thought they did really well. They did not look much like scoring but they dealt with Jurgen Klopp's side really well.
After their display at Anfield in December, where they lost to a 96th-minute goal, it was probably their most committed performance of the season.
Newcastle lost at West Ham last week, but only really went for it in the second half when they were already 2-0 down, and looked a different team.
I am not sure what the Magpies' approach will be like this time but I think what happens in this game is far more significant for Everton manager Marco Silva.
After all their hard work last week, and the way they raised their game, if the Toffees went to St James' Park and got run over, then I would be seriously worried.

A run of seven points from three league games saw Newcastle move away from the bottom three of the Premier League. The good form ended with a loss at West Ham last weekend but they are still 14th and six points above the relegation zone. Their home form is strong at present with four league wins in a row with victories over Cardiff City, Manchester City, Huddersfield Town and Burnley. A home game against Everton is another winnable fixture for them as they begin a run-in that isn't too bad with only two games against sides in the top five.
Everton are tenth in the Premier League and six points adrift of the seventh place that might just get them into the Europa League next season. Last weekend saw them draw 0-0 with LIverpool but they only have one win in their last five league games. That was a 3-0 win at Cardiff City who seem to be falling apart at present. Away from home, Everton have won three and lost three of their last six league games as their inconsistent season continues. A bet on under 2.5 goals looks to be one that can get us a winner here.
