Fulham have much less lofty goals on their mind, although their ambitions are all but finished now. A 2-0 defeat at home to Manchester City on Saturday leaves them 16 points adrift of Premier League safety, with just 18 points left to play for. Defeat on Tuesday would see them relegated after a woeful season, and even victory could see their fate sealed before the week is over.
It truly has been an awful return to the top flight for The Cottagers. They have lost 23 of their 32 league matches so far and conceded a league high of 72 goals in the process. The last eight outings have yielded a grand total of zero points, and they haven’t picked up a point away from home since before Christmas. To make matters even more bleak, Fulham haven’t won an away game all season in the league, picking up just two points in total.
Easy W for W.
