Manchester City and Liverpool continue their quests for Premier League title glory this weekend. Pep Guardiola’s Quadruple-chasing City travel to Selhurst Park on Sunday to face a tricky Crystal Palace team.

I expect them to narrowly come out on top, a result that would move them back to the top of the table for at least a few hours.

Liverpool then host Chelsea at Anfield in a mouthwatering tussle, and tI expect them to come up short.

I expext the pair to play out an entertaining draw, which would see City hold on to top spot on goal difference.

I'm not sure if Eden Hazard's going to play as the Europa League is a massive competition for Chelsea. For the manager, winning that competition is bigger for him than getting into the top four - for a manager who's never won anything before.

This is a big opportunity for [Maurizio] Sarri so it's a question of what team gets set up for Chelsea. If Chelsea play their full team, and don't worry about next Thursday, this will be game on - no question about that - but I'm just going to go for Liverpool.

Liverpool are going to get nervous. They've not won the league in 29 years, and everyone in the city is talking about it, so there's bound to be nerves. If they can get this game out of the way, Man City will have to do it the hard way.

Liverpool must still be having nightmares about the last time Chelsea visited Anfield when they had such a fine chance of ending their wait since 1990 for an English league title.

The crown was there for Liverpool’s taking in 2014 when Steven Gerrard famously slipped, Demba Ba scored, Chelsea won 2-0 and Brendan Rodgers’ side blew a 3-0 lead at Crystal Palace eight days later to hand the trophy to Manchester City.

Reds supporters must deep down be fearing a sense of déjà vu, their team again embroiled with City in a head-to-head tussle for the title and the quest to end what is now a 29-year wait to become champions of England.

The problem for Liverpool is that their head-to-head record against Chelsea is not good (see stats above) and the Blues are the only visiting team to have won at Anfield this season, in the Carabao Cup.

This is a big test of nerve for Jurgen Klopp’s side, who have overcome a spate of five draws in seven games with six straight wins.

Chelsea are much less reliable on their travels than at home and also just back from a Europa League trip to Prague, but they enjoy playing the role of spoilers at this venue and may well be capable of achieving a draw to dent their opponents’ title hopes.

Sadio Mane is one to watch for in the anytime goalscorer market too, with the Senegalese attacker notching an impressive eight goals in his last seven league games at Anfield, failing to score in just one of them.

The Reds may have found their ruthless best again but they face arguably their biggest test between now and the end of the season on Sunday.

Jurgen Klopp’s side drew at Stamford Bridge earlier this season and a repeat of that result is coming
