Bayer Leverkusen quickly bounce back from two consecutive defeats to the likes of Hoffenheim and Leipzig, with the team beating Stuttgart 2-0 in front of home fans. The BayArena outfit proved their worth in the dying minutes of the match, but that did not help them move away from the danger zone in the Bundesliga standings. Heiko Herrlich’s troops deserve to sit in the top half of the standings, but they need to improve their game if they are to move a little closer to the Europa League berth. Nurnberg, on the other hand, experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 5-2 loss to Schalke in Gelsenkirchen, which is probably the main reason why we are tempted to put our money on the visitors. It has to be noted that Bayer Leverkusen defeated Nurnberg in each of their last five meetings in the German top flight.
Nurnberg have not won any of their last five league matches. Bayer Leverkusen have lost two of their last three league matches. Both teams are struggling for form at the moment so a draw is possbile. Maybe Nurnberg will show itself
It’s no secret that Leverkusen have had a few defensive problems of their own though – in fact, that’s what has ultimately been costing them results – so the question here would be whether Nurnberg have the attacking prowess to cause the visitors some problems?
