After losing the Russian Super Cup to CSKA, Lokomotiv once again failed to impress on their visit to Bashkiria on Monday. Yuri Semin’s men are hoping to return to winning ways in the Moscow derby this weekend, but they will need to be at their very best to overcome Spartak.
Spartak pulled off a narrow home win over FC Orenburg last time out, but their overall performance was sub-par. Massimo Carrera needs to rally his troops for their tough upcoming matches, both in the RPL and the Champions League playoffs, in order to avoid any major setbacks.
The last time both sides met at Cherkizovo, the match ended in a draw and there is a huge possibility the same will happen again this weekend.
