Both of these teams are in big trouble at the foot of the Championship. Bolton are one from bottom of the table and a point and a place below 22nd placed Reading. The home side are three points from safety but now have a game in hand on Rotherham who lost to Leeds United on Saturday. They were last in action on Friday losing 2-1 at Bristol City in the FA Cup but rested a few players as this is considered more important. Their current form is poor with three straight league defeats and one win in the last 18. Home form has seen them with just one win in the last nine and that was against 21st placed Rotherham. Goals are a problem for Bolton with only 18 in 28 league games and only eight at home. Six of their last seven home league games have seen under 2.5 goals scored.
Reading had the weekend off and will be looking to improve a record of one win in the last 11 league and cup games.and they have just a home win over Nottingham Forest in their last 12 league matches. Away form for Reading is one of the main reasons for their relegation problems. Just the one away league win all season and that was back in September at Preston North End. Since then they have gone ten away league games without a win and just 12 goals scored. The suggested bet here is on under 2.5 goals being scored.
