Real Madrid are up to third in La Liga but still ten points behind league leaders Barcelona. Form is good at present though with four league and cup wins in a row and 13 goals scored. Their last three league games have all been won and they have been victorious in four of their last five home matches. It could still be a big season for them if their improvement in form continues with the Champions League soon to resume.
Alaves have been flying high in La Liga all season but recent weeks have seen their form dip. They are fifth in the table but now four points behid the final Champions League place. They have lost both of their last two league games including a 4-0 loss at sixth-placed Getafe. More disapppointing though was the 1-0 home lloss to 17th placed Rayo Vallecano. Only one of their last six away league games have been won and they have already lost six away league games this season.
