Kilmarnock can move up to second place in the Scottish Premiership if they can beat Hearts in this game. The home side are currently third and could even move level on points with leaders Celtic, but only if they fail to beat St Johnstone on Wednesday evening. Kilmarnock are unbeaten in their last seven league and cup games since losing to Celtic in early December. Only two of their last 19 league and cup games have been lost and they will be looking to win their seventh straight home league game. Their most recent home league game saw them beat Rangers to add to a previous win earlier in the season over Celtic.
Hearts are fifth i the table and one of only two teams to win a league game at Kilmarnock this season. That was back in August when they were in great form but three months later they lost 1-0 at home to Kilmarnock. That was shown when Kilmarnock went to Hearts and returned with all three points. The defeat was during their nightmare slump when winning just one out of ten league and cup games. The past month has seen them turn things around with a run of four wins and one defeat, though only one of those games has been played away from home. Their away form has seen them win just one of their last six games, Kilmarnock are so strong at home at present and can be backed to get the three points.
