Atletico Madrid failed to make the knock-out stages of the Champions League last season but didn't make that mistake this season. They finished second behind Borussia Dortmund but won all three of their home games. They are second in La Liga seven points behind leaders Barcelona climbing above Real Madrid. Current form has been shaky with two losses to Real Madrid and Real Betis but Saturday saw them back in winning ways with a win at Rayo Vallecano. Only Real Madrid have beaten them in their last 17 home games in all competitions. Their last four home games in the Champions League have been won and only Chelsea have beaten them at home since 2015.
Juventus won again on Friday and ended the weekend with a lead of 13 points in Serie A. The title looks assured so they can concentrate on trying to win the Champions League. Only one of their last 12 league and cup games has ended in defeat, a 3-0 loss at in-form Atalanta in the Italian Cup. Two of their three away group matches were won. The other was a loss to Young Boys playing a weakened side with qualification already achieved. Before that loss Juventus had won their last five Champions League away games. Juventus are in better form than their opponents and the suggested bet here is a double chance bet on the Italian side to win or draw this game.
