I think Gremio are a strong choice to win this fixture. They have won the last 5 head to head meetings when they are the home team and their form of late has been very strong winning all of their last 5 and if you go back even further they've won 8 of their last 10. Vasco's away form on the other hand has been the total opposite. They've not won in their last 6 away games managing only 1 draw so I see this going the way of Gremio with their confidence growing and Vasco's going the other way on the road.
Vasco da Gama need to wait for the better day.
It’s too late for Gremio to get back into the title race, but the season doesn’t over for them. They want to finish in the top-4, so they need to take every single score. Last weekend, Pedro Geromel scored less than three minutes into the game at Atlético Mineiro, and that goal proved enough to earn Gremio all three points.
Vasco da Gama made a big-big step towards avoiding relegation last weekend, when they beat Fluminense 0-1. Maxi López scored from the penalty spot in the 59th minute, and that was the only goal of the match. Center-back Leandro Castán is out due to cards, and Ricardo is expected to take his spot in the starting lineup.
“Both teams to score” is at 2.37, my main tip. Combined with “over 2.5 goals”, it pays even better, 3.10.
