Both teams to score - Yes. It is my prediction. It is the best and the most unteresting match of the first tour. This "battle" will be very attractive.
Why I did such prediction? Look:
- Germany have scored in each of their last 13 games.
- Germany have scored 10 goals in their last two games.
- Spain have scored 12 goals in the last two games.
- Spain have scored in each of their last 40 matches.
Joachim Low is still in charge of the German national team, but it has to be noted that he will not count on Bayern players for this showdown as they are on a vacation following the triumph in the Champions League final.
Spain boss Luis Enrique, on the other hand, has a named a youthful squad.
There is some value in betting on Germany considering the fact that Enrique has decided to mix his squad a bit.
I like statistics. usually when i give some predictions i try to find some statistical facts and to predict something. Some historic facts:
- History reinforces this fact. Each of the last four meetings between Germany and Spain have seen fewer than two goals scored, with a grand total of five being netted across these games.
- Given the lack of match fitness and the rather experimental squads, we think backing another low scoring game is worthwhile.
- We’re also expecting the spoils to be shared as well. The last meeting back in March 2018 ended in a 1-1 stalemate and each of Spain’s last two trips away have yielded the same result, so we’re backing that for my correct score prediction.
Long time no see – nationals are knocking at our door again. It’s hard to judge how well either team will perform given that the last time Germany were in competitive action saw them beat Northern Ireland on 19 November 2019.
It’s unusual for the Spanish to be betting outsiders, although La Roja could have a tough task in this clash and perhaps Enrique will use the game to field an experimental line-up, with players like Dani Olmo, Mikel Merino and Oscar coming into the squad in recent games.
Although, there appears to be a definite lack of firepower for Spain at the moment but BTTS in this one is obviously worth considering.

Oh, what a game! It need to be a final! But now only the group stage. I have several things:
It would be a worthy final let alone a first group match. Both national teams had poor campaigns in the last Nations League but they won their European Championship qualifying groups. Both teams love to score goals, but in this match we wil not see a lot of goals, in my opinion. My prediction - Under 2.5 goals.
