Hello everyone !!
As far as I can see, Estonia are on an 18-game streak without a win across all competitions so it doesn't seem likely that they end that run today.
As for Belarus, they haven't scored more than two goals in a single official match since 2018. Think it'll be a narrow victory for the hosts.
History is against both of these nations considering neither have qualified for a World Cup finals or a European Championships since they both secured independence. Belarus are in decent form though after suffering just two defeats across their previous six matches (W2, D2, L2). Even including those losses, they actually scored an impressive 2+ goals in all but one of those fixtures.
From an attacking point of view, the hosts have been at their most dangerous before HT recently, netting four of their previous five goals during the first period. The positivity ends when looking at their recent World Cup Qualifying (WCQ) fixtures though, where they’ve lost ten of their previous 14 matches (W1, D3). They trailed at HT in each of the previous three such encounters.
It’s been two years since Estonia were last on the winning side of an international result, and since then, they’ve played 17 winless fixtures (D4, L13) - although they have lost only three of the previous six during that sequence. In six of the most recent seven, they conceded at least once before the 30th minute.
The visitors have only lost two of their previous five WCQ matches (W2, D1), although both defeats did come in their two most recent. Interestingly after their 6-2 defeat in midweek to the Czech Republic, Estonia have found the back of the net after the 70th minute in four consecutive WCQ games.
2-0 or 3-0
