After losing their second Africa Cup of Nations group game, Senegal need a victory from Monday’s encounter with Kenya. They are going head to head with the other side in their group with three points on the board, with a win for either side taking them through to the last 16. Both sides have claimed victories over Tanzania so far, but can either of them grab the win they need to ensure they make it through to the next round?

Kenya won a thrilling clash with Tanzania on Thursday, which was a dramatic turn away from their usual style. Kenya made it to this tournament thanks to a very defensive set up, one which is built around Tottenham’s Victor Wanyama. They are likely to revert to a more defensive approach for this clash, as the Harambee Stars go in search of their fourth point of the group stage. Will they be able to frustrate Senegal?

Senegal have a squad capable of challenging for glory in Egypt this summer. However, their talented team suffered a setback last time out. It was a game of few chances, which hurt a Senegal side who are top-loaded. Their obvious issue comes from their mix of great attacking pace and the resulting defensive vulnerabilities, they rely on sitting back to cover up at the back, before hitting their opponents on the counter to cause havoc. However, Algeria showed how to effectively avoid those issues in their last game.

Spain were level on points with both Poland and Italy in Group A but finished top due to their superior goal difference. They lost their first group game to Italy but recovered to close the group stage with successive wins over Belgium and Poland - beating the latter 5-0.

While the Indomitable Lions may struggle in the long term under Seedorf, we expect them to make a strong start here. They are worthy favourites to record a third straight win over Guinea-Bissau, while the champions have brought firepower in an attempt to retain their crown. They have scored three against Comoros and two against Zambia in recent matches, while they should add to that given how they’re likely to shape up in attack. Given that, we’re backing more defensive issues for Guinea-Bissau, over 1.5 Cameroon goals is our tip.

The head to head record between these two nations and their form and performances since the tail end of last year, all points towards a win and a clean sheet for Egypt on Thursday. Egypt have won all of their four previous matches against Tanzania, and the last two meetings between the pair have seen Egypt win to nil. Egypt have won four of their last six international matches, while Tanzania haven’t won any of their last ten away games. Tanzania have failed to score in three of their last five matches, which is why we’re backing a 2-0 win for Egypt on Thursday.

For all they outclassed Bulgaria, Czech Republic showed that when push comes to shove, they’re not strong at the back, which is something that was evident during the Nations League, where the Czech’s kept just one clean sheet in four games. If we add in the fact that Montenegro have looked weak at the back, but also got on the score-sheet against both Bulgaria and England, then a small bet on ‘Both Teams to Score’ starts to look like the most viable option, though this is by no means a game to get heavily involved in.

It’s been 16-years since Norway and Romania last met and that match was also a qualifier for the European Championship and ended in a 1-1 draw. Heading into Friday’s Euro 2020 qualifier, both teams have proven themselves hard to beat, losing just one of their last six matches, so we’re expecting a tight, tense, and competitive ninety minutes.

Norway established a two-goal lead in their last qualifier at home to Sweden in March, thanks to goals from Johnsen and King, but the visitors started their comeback in the seventieth minute when Claesson made it 2-1. An own goal from Nordtveit looked to have handed Sweden a share of the spoils four minutes from time, but the visitors scored again in stoppage time to make it 3-2. Amazingly, with their final attack of the match, deep into stoppage time Norway managed to equalise through Kamara and the game ended 3-3. Romania cruised to three points at home to the Group F whipping boys Faroe Islands last time out, where they lead 3-1 at the break thanks to a goal from Deac and two from Keșerü. Another goal in the sixty-third minute from Puşcaş concluded the scoring and saw Romania claim a comfortable 4-1 win.

The head to head record between these two countries and their performances since late 2018, suggest that under 2.5 goals will be scored on Friday and that the most likely result is a draw. Each of the four previous encounters between these two countries have produced under 2.5 goals, and two of those four meetings have ended in 1-1 draws. Under 2.5 goals have also been scored in four of Norway’s last six and two of Romania’s last five matches. Both countries have only lost one of their last six international matches, which is why we’re backing Friday’s game to end all square at one goal apiece.

These two sides have a history of entertainment too. Both teams have scored in seven of their last eight encounters, and with each of the last eight Champions League Finals also seeing both teams find the net, we’re expecting big things from this match.

Liverpool have to be considered the very strong favourites though. Klopp’s juggernaut of a team have beaten Spurs 2-1 both home and away in the Premier League this season, and their triumph over Wolves last time out made it 13 wins from their last 14 competitive matches.

Grasshoppers have failed to score away against each of the current top four this season. When they visited this venue earlier in the campaign, they lost 2-0. On that occasion, they posted a measly total of 0.47 expected goals for.

From a betting point of view, this is anything but a fixture to get excited about. The best option appears to be ‘Young Boys to Win to Nil’. The hosts, who’ve surrendered an average of just 0.8 expected goals at home this season, have more than enough quality to come out on top without enduring any problems defensive problems.

The form of both teams heading into Wednesday’s match, their performances over the last month or so, and their head to head record since 2011, all points towards an Ajax win with both teams to score. Ajax have won six of their last seven matches against De Graafschap, and four of the last six competitive encounters between the pair have seen both teams score. De Graafschap have lost four of their last six matches, while Ajax have won five of their last six matches, and four of De Graafschap’s last six and three of Ajax’s last five matches have seen both teams score. Ajax will want to end an impressive season on a high, while De Graafschap could rest one or two key players ahead of the relegation play-offs, and that’s why we’re backing a 4-2 win for the visitors on Wednesday.

El Jebli needs one more goal to reach double figures in the Eredivisie for De Graafschap this season, while Tadic, who has twenty-six goals to his name, is going to at least need two goals to share the Golden Boot award with PSV’s de Jong and possibly more if the Dutch forward manages to score on the final day as well. We’re confident that Ajax will win and both teams will score on Wednesday, and have predicted a final scoreline of 4-2. Ajax have been so impressive in the second half of the season and head into the final game of the season as the form favourites. The visitors have a great record against their guests, but this fixture often ends up with both teams on the scoreboard.

Liverpool may find it difficult to raise their game given their exploits earlier this week, but Klopp's men should still have enough in the tank to see off a Wolves outfit who could struggle to perform at their usual high level.

The Millionaires aim to keep their hopes of winning the domestic title alive and we predict that they are going to adopt an attack-minded approach in Saturday’s football match against Fortuna.
