Luis Suarez vs Cristiano Ronaldo. What a duel. And I honestly don't know who is better now, Ronaldo started WC with fashion and style, scoring 3 goals to Spain, but in the last match he was not good at all, missed a penalty, looked heavy and slow on the pitch. While, Suarez looked horrible in the first match but now it seems that he find his form, he's scoring in 2 matches in a row. I think it'll be a tight game. The game could be decided with just one goal. I think Suarez will score in this one.
Uruguay are one of the dark horses that could go a long way in this tournament, very good defensively with Godin at the back. Very efficient in midfield and with Cavani and Suarez upfront they can always nick a goal. When we speak about Portugal it’s all about Ronaldo and he always seems to turn up for the big occasions. They are not looking convincing at the back though, so I think Uruguay will win 2-1.
Uruguay were quietly impressive as they secured a last-16 spot, winning all three group games and conceding none. The South American side did the bare minimum to land their spot in the knockout stage, but proved how ruthless they can be in their 3-0 win over Russia. Portugal hardly set the world alight in Group B and a late penalty conceded against Iran saw them forfeit top spot, which served as a blow to the European champions. However, they have the star quality to trouble any side on their day and will hope to give Uruguay a run for their money in Saturday's second match. This promises to be a close encounter and it could go all the way in Sochi.
This will be a busy evening for the referee, not least with Uruguay's Atletico Madrid centre-halves Diego Godin and Jose Gimenez up against Portugal's Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo.
Portugal will not change the way they play, which is quite one-dimensional and not particularly inspiring.
Uruguay have not exactly set this tournament alight with their attacking play either, but they are more adventurous and have a few more ideas when they come forward.
