Can’t wait for this one. What a tournament the English lads are having. It was a solid performance against Sweden with the win never in doubt. Another fantastic performance from Harry Maguire and Pickford was superb.

This could be a tough game against a very experienced Croatia team. Main man Modric is a joy to watch. Midfield is where Croatia are at their strongest so Henderson will need some help there. At the back they are not the quickest so I expect Sterling etc to keep running in behind.

Going for a England win 2 1. Come on England

France Win • 2.49

France ended up with a convincing win against Uruguay after their keeper made a terrible mistake. In fairness the French had looked in control at the time anyway. They are improving as the tournament goes on and have so much quality throughout their team.

Belgium's victory over Brazil was one of the best games of the tournament. De Bruyne looked far better in a more advanced roll. Fellaini was also superb in midfield. Martínez got his tactics spot on and in the end Belgium were well deserved winners.

I think France can improve again though and Mbappe with his pace could be the match winner. I'm going for a France win 2-1.

Belgium Win • 1.37

Belgium are very similar to England, resting lots of players in their last group game, but we know their quality. Lukaku on 4 goals has every chance of getting the Golden Boot and Hazard has been different class so far. They will definitely be in the later stages of the tournament. Japan have done so well qualifying, I expected them to be bottom of their group so they have surprised a few people. Very organized and also very dangerous on the break. I’m going Belgium to win though, 2-0

Brazil Win • 1.51

Brazil big favourites to go through to the next round, but I’m still waiting for them to hit top gear. Lots of people will be waiting for Neymar to start playing well, especially after backing him for the Golden Boot. Mexico have been superb. They have a massive following and their fans have been excellent. I do think they will lose this one against Brazil, but it could will be close. Going 2-1 Brazil.

Croatia Win • 1.86

Croatia, another team quietly fancied. Very strong in midfield, they played some quality football in the group stages. Experience is key and they have plenty of that. Denmark have been excellent in the group stages. Solid, well organized and with Eriksen in the side they always have a chance. Can see a low scoring game but I think Croatia might just nick it 1- 0.

Spain Win • 1.61

Spain, still one of the favourites to win the competition, a last-minute goal from Aspas made them top of the group. Excellent to watch and I expect them to go further in the competition. Russia were brought back down to earth with the 3-0 defeat to Uruguay, but they’ve been a success just qualifying out of the group. This will be a tough ask for Russia but they have the home support right behind them. I'm going 2-1 Spain.

Uruguay Win • 2.96

Uruguay are one of the dark horses that could go a long way in this tournament, very good defensively with Godin at the back. Very efficient in midfield and with Cavani and Suarez upfront they can always nick a goal. When we speak about Portugal it’s all about Ronaldo and he always seems to turn up for the big occasions. They are not looking convincing at the back though, so I think Uruguay will win 2-1.

Really tough game to call, both teams have not been convincing. Argentina getting through in the last few minutes of the game against Nigeria, France pretty good defensively but have been pretty poor going forward. Still waiting for Messi to light up the World Cup, and the French forward line have struggled. Think this could go to extra time, I’m going for a draw, probably 1-1 with France to progress.

The game that decides the winner of the group. Rumours there will be lots of changes for both sides. Lukaku and Hazard the main threats could be rested. Another player with one eye on the golden boot Harry Kane will hopefully start. I think the wide areas are the weakness for Belgium. Wing backs could be key for England. I expect Rose to start and maybe a opportunity for Alexander Arnold with Trippier carrying a knock. Hard one to call not knowing the teams so going 1-1. Top spot could even come down to yellow cards.

Brazil Win • 1.52

Brazil left it late in their last game against Costa Rica and Serbia conceded late on to lose against Switzerland. This game will be tough for the South Americans but I think they will have enough with the likes of Neymar and Coutinho to see the Serbs off and top the group ahead of the Swiss. I'm predicting 2-1 Brazil.

Argentina Win • 1.533

Nigeria played really well in their last match, a 2-0 victory over Iceland. Ahmed Musa scored twice in that contest and could pose problems to a fragile Argentina defence. The South-American side have looked horrendous so far, but with talented players like Messi and Aguero in their side you can’t write them off yet. I’m siding with a 2-1 win for Argentina.

Germany Win • 1.54

Germany were very poor against Mexico. They were all over the place defensively and should have lost by more than just 1-0. They struggled to create chances, but I fancy them to go deep into the tournament in Russia. For this must-win clash with Sweden, they’ll need to improve at both ends of the pitch. Sweden are a decent side, and are extremely well organised. They enjoyed a good 1-0 win in their first game against South Korea - putting them in a great position to qualify from the group. But I’m backing Germany to bounce back here and show their ability. I predict Germany 2-0 Sweden, with the first goal being vital.

Argentina Win • 2.18

After a shock result against Iceland, I’m expecting Argentina to bounce back. It was a surprisingly off day for Messi. They never took their chances but with all their experience I expect them to win this game. Croatia had a good win against Nigeria and have put themselves in a good position to qualify. Their midfield is very strong with Modric the heartbeat. A point would be excellent for Croatia but I'm going for an Argentina win 2- 1.

Poland are fancied to make it to the last 16 and could possibly face England. The spine of the team is very strong and they have a top striker in Lewandowski. Senegal’s second appearance at a World Cup finals, they reached the quarter finals in their last appearance so you can’t underestimate them. They have a lot of English based players but all eyes will be on Mane from Liverpool. I'm going for a 2-1 Poland win.

Tunisia have had 3 tough warm up games and this could be a tricky first game for England. Tunisia will be very organised and will play on the break. They defended very well in the last game against Spain, conceding late on to lose 1-0. England go into the tournament with not much expectation but they should be qualifying from this group. They have lots of pace up front and they will rely on Kane to score the goals. Hoping they get off to a flying start. England to win 2-0.
