Croatia vs Denmark tips

Croatia should have too much for Denmark. If you are Croatia you've got to be thinking you've got a big chance of winning the World Cup. It must be buzzing in Croatia at the moment because they have been excellent in this tournament so far. Everything that's been asked of them they've done. Before the tournament, they were my dark horses because they've got two of the best midfielders in the world in their side in Luka Modric and Ivan Rakitic. Denmark will make life difficult for them but in the end, Croatia's quality will show and they'll break them down.

Croatia should progress here. They've got the players and the ability to get the better of Denmark. Age Hareide's side are organised and physical and that can upset few teams but when it comes to the crunch and you've got to get the better of a team that's technically superior to you, it's tough. Denmark have also had three fairly absorbing games, while Croatia were able to rest a few last time out. That gives Croatia a big advantage so expect Luka Modric and his crew to advance again.

Croatia, another team quietly fancied. Very strong in midfield, they played some quality football in the group stages. Experience is key and they have plenty of that. Denmark have been excellent in the group stages. Solid, well organized and with Eriksen in the side they always have a chance. Can see a low scoring game but I think Croatia might just nick it 1- 0.

I have been very impressed by Croatia, I cannot really see a weak link in their midfield, either centrally or out wide, and they have an attacking outlook right through their team.

Denmark, in contrast, are very ordinary. I am sure they will create some chances, but most of their build-up play is under the 'hopeful' category, unless they can get Christian Eriksen on the ball.
