Marseille have really fallen off the boil this season with Rudi Garcia’s men putting in a plethora of woeful performances against some of the worst and best teams in the league. They have only won once since the end of November and this has brooded an extremely toxic atmosphere at the club.
Whereas Marseille have been consistently poor, Bordeaux have been extremely inconsistent but at least they have picked up wins. They have won three and lost three of their last six games and currently sit 12th in the table but they made some good signings in the transfer window including Yacine Adli and Josh Maja who will be great support for their second half of the season.
Bordeaux have also not been at their best in the past few matches but they have managed six wins in their last 12 outings, as compared to Marseille’s one win in 12. The two sides face off right from back to back losses but Bordeaux have managed two wins in their last five matches, while Marseille have one in the same run. Both sides have taken three wins in their last 10 Ligue 1 matches. Of the 10, Bordeaux have just lost two, while five have ended in draws, while Marseille have lost three, which places the away side as the form team going to this clash. At home, Marseille have picked just five points from the last five matches and away from home, Bordeaux have also managed five points from the last five league matches. Only two of the last 10 meetings between the two sides have produced over 2.5 goals while five of the last six meetings.
