Nice bet for us and nice game for Arsenal, to start the year with. Fulham is in relegation zone, could draw with Newcastle(currently 15th) in last away match but lost the previous 7 games. Arsenal at Emirates has done well winning last 3 PRL games there losing only once -drew twice - along the season.
Fulham are finding it difficult in the league and are 2nd from bottom, while Arsenal need to start winning games like this if they wish for a Champions league spot

It has been torrid for Arsenal in the past few matches; they have managed just a win in their last five across all competitions. In two weeks they have seen their 22 – match unbeaten run ended, they have been eliminated from the League Cup and were thrashed 5 – 1 by Liverpool, to end the year on a low. Manager Unai Emery will definitely want to go into the transfer market aggressively in search for defenders but first he has to worry about a Fulham side that picked a win in the final match of 2018 and heads to this clash at Emirates unbeaten in the last three outings. Arsenal have been so poor in defence, they don’t have a clean sheet in the last five matches, an aspect Fulham will be interested in, having scored in three of their last five matches, and kept two clean sheets in their last three matches. All Fulham will need to improve on is their away run having lost seven of their last eight away matches across all competitions. They are winless in their last 12 away matches in the Premier League, drawing two and losing 10. Arsenal will want to take advantage of this aspect, having lost just once in the last 15 matches at home. The Gunners have won 12 of the last 15 Premier League games at home. They are unbeaten in five matches against Fulham and won each of the last four, including a 5 – 1 win in the first leg meeting this season. Seven of the last 10 meetings between the two sides have raised over 2.5 goals while Fulham have managed just one win in 12 meetings with Arsenal. Of the 51 meetings in history, Arsenal have 34 wins, 21 of those coming at home. Fulham have managed just seven wins with none coming at Arsenal’s backyard.

I know Liverpool played well in the 5-1 win on Saturday, but Arsenal were horrific defensively. You can't go to Anfield when you've got full-backs who can't run.
The Gunners have got good players, but has the team really changed that much under new manager Unai Emery? When it comes down to the nitty-gritty against good teams they're not good enough defensively. Is keeper Bernd Leno better than Petr Cech? He makes great saves, but does he have presence?
Against top sides they can't keep the goals out and that's a worry.
But this match is against Fulham at home. The Cottagers had a good win at Huddersfield and manager Claudio Ranieri has somewhat steadied the ship - but the Gunners will be victorious.
