Manchester United are fourth in the Premier League but nine points behind third position and 14 adrift of the top two. They need to keep winning if wanting to get back into the Champions League. Monday saw them win 2-0 at Chelsea in the FA Cup fifth round and have won eight of their last nine league games. Only one of their last 14 league matches have been lost and that was the defeat at Anfield that ended the reign of Jose Mourinho. At Old Trafford, United haven't lost a league game since August, a run of ten games unbeaten.
Liverpool need a point to go back to the top of the Premier League but obviously will want the victory in what is their game in hand on league leaders Manchester City. They drew with Bayern Munich in midweek and that was the third draw in their last four league and cup games. While Mane is in form, Mo Salah has no goals in his last four games and he has to get back in scoring form if Liverpool are to win the league this season. Liverpool's win earlier in the season ended a run of five games without a win against United. Four of those matches were drawn and Liverpool haven't won at Old Trafford since 2014. Goals are all but a certainty in this game especially with the fire power that Liverpool have. Man Utd have some injury doubts which may prove costly for them. Liverpool are looking to keep title aspirations on track with a win here and with Liverpool having lost just 1 in 13 away games they should keep that record the same. I think Liverpool will overpower what can prove to be a dodgy Manchester United defence.
