Boro showed great spirit and fight to pull off an early contender for comeback of the season against Millwall on the weekend, with two goals in the last five minutes rescuing a draw. Tony Pulis will be hoping for a smoother start here.
Chris Wilder's side were within minutes of clinching a point of their own on Saturday, but succumbed to a late 2-1 defeat to newly-relegated Swansea. The Blades were far from convincing and will need to be much improved to stand any chance here.
The absence of key men Adama Traore and Ben Gibson could prove huge for Boro, with Tony Pulis' squad looking thinner and thinner every coming week. With such a short turnaround between the first two games, this is a big early test.
