After returning to Serie A with narrow wins over Empoli (1-0) and Cagliari (0-2) in two outings since the International break, Juventus host AC Milan for their Matchday 31 clash with an 18-point gap at the top of the table once again and another title all but secured.
Bianconeri have seen tough challenges from both struggling rivals but still managed to turn them their way, as Moise Kean shines with four goals to his name in last four outings. They will now want to keep it up in front of the home fans and we feel Max Allegri should have no troubles asking for it.
AC Milan, on the other hand, don’t come into the match at their best and now have to look for a return to the winning ways at Allianz Stadium – after seeing a 2-3 loss to Inter, Donnarumma’s early error costly in a 1-0 loss at Sampdoria, and only ending the streak with an unconvincing 1-1 draw against troubled Udinese.
Rossoneri have been very tough to outclass on the road and Gennaro Gattuso’s approach has changed with Piatek in the final third, as they keep scoring (and conceding) more goals. They will now want to end a seven-match losing streak in head-to-head clashes against Juve but we don’t see them doing it.
We will thus stick with Juventus to win a more exciting contest between the sides than what we’ve been used to over the past year, still going for a Home win
It doesn’t help that Milan have an awful record against Juventus. The visitors have won only one of their last 12 Serie A meetings against Juventus, losing 11. The champions have won the last seven meetings between the pair, while the hosts have claimed 13 wins in 15 home matches this season. They’ve been brilliant against the top teams, winning 10 of 11 meetings with top half sides this term. After winning six of their last seven matches, Juve are generously priced for a victory here
