Manchester City are chasing four trophies this season and by the end of the week could have the Carabao Cup back in their trophy cabinet. Before Sunday's final against Chelsea, they travel to Germany for the first leg of their last 16 Champions League tie with Schalke 04. City are unbeaten in their last four league and cup games with 15 goals scored in those matches. It's only the second-half of February but they have already scored 46 goals in 2019, that's compared to the 11 scored by their opponents. They won their Champions League group but didn't have it all their own way with a draw and defeat against Lyon. Only one of their last five away Champions League games has been lost and that was at Liverpool last season.
Schalke 04 had a straightforward group and finished second behind Porto and ahead of Galatasaray and Lokomotiv Moscow. They come into this tie against the English Premier League leaders down in 14th place in the Bundesliga. That's only two places above the relegation zone but there is an eight-point difference. Only one of their last five league and cup games has been won and they only have two points from their last four league games. Two of their three home games in their group were won but this is a far more difficult task. Go for Manchester City to get the away win.
