Nigeria had a good run in the AFCON qualifiers and they too, will be seeking a good run in preparations to the tournament. They host one of the favorites at the tournament in this clash at Asaba hoping for a win and going by their run in the past few months, they will be a good match for the North Africans. Nigeria are unbeaten in six matches since their loss to Argentina at the World Cup and the loss is their only one in the last eight. They have however failed to replicate the form in their last five friendly matches at home, losing two and drawing three with just one clean sheet. Egypt carry a five match unbeaten run, with four wins, having scored at least two goals in four of their last five matches. It has however not been so good for Egypt in their last 11 away matches; they have won just one. They are winless in six away friendly matches but they will pride in the fact that they have never lost to Nigeria, in four matches between them. They have won three and drawn one, with two of the matches yielding over 2.5 goals, but Nigeria failed to score in just one of the four while Egypt have scored in all the four.
