Bosnia and Herzegovina continue their EURO 2020 qualifying campaign against Greece on Tuesday. The Bosnians sit third in Group J after Saturday’s 2-1 win over Armenia – Greece and Italy stand above them on goal difference alone – but remain second favourites to finish in the top two and earn participation in next summer’s tournament. After their impressive Nations League campaign, where they won three of their four games against Austria and Northern Ireland (W3 D1), the Bosnians could also qualify via the play-offs if something was to go wrong.
Greece will feel their chances of clinching second place from the grasp of the Bosnians will have improved drastically after their 2-0 victory over Liechtenstein last weekend. Getting off to a winning start, even against a team of such a lower calibre, is massive for momentum and confidence, something the Greeks will need given they don’t have too talented a squad. Some individual class, such as that of experienced Arsenal defender Sokratis, means they’re no pushovers either – he captains a back-line that has kept a clean sheet in four of their seven competitive outings since the start of 2018.
Greece aren’t the most free-flowing side around, though – in fact, before Saturday they hadn’t scored more than a single goal in a match since their 4-0 thrashing of Gibraltar back in 2017. The Greeks should, therefore, have a tough time breaking through a Bosnian back-line that has kept a clean sheet in all but two of their last eight competitive home outings. Bosnia’s scoring form is almost the opposite to that of Tuesday’s visitors – they’ve scored two goals or more in six of their last eight competitive home outings – and front man Edin Dzeko has been their ‘go to’ in that regard – he’s scored three goals over his last three in his homeland.
Bosnia come into this game as the odds on favourites, which is understandable considering their home form in the Nations League and 2018 World Cup Qualifying campaign.

The win followed their success earlier in the season when winning their UEFA Nations League group and qualifying for June's semi-finals. They have won five of their last six games scoring 14 goals. England have a strong European Championship qualifying record and have won their last 11 games with clean sheets in each of the last five. Away form has seen them undefeated in their last nine Euro qualifiers with the last defeat being to Russia in 2006.
Montenegro could only draw their first group match away in Bulgaria on Friday evening. They led 1-0 but Bulgaria equalized with a penalty eight minutes from time.Their Nations League campaign saw them finish third behind Serbia and Romania in League C. Montenegro have only won two of their last 13 games and both were against Lithuania, that's the Lithuania who lost to Luxembourg on Friday. At home, they have won one of their last six games, only managing to score in two of them. They last met England in the 2014 World Cup qualifying stages drawing 1-1 at home and losing 4-1 away. England are the clear form pick and can get another three points from this match.
England look a decent price as they aim to get off to a good start in the group. While their defence can still be iffy they are unlikely to be tested that much against a very average Czech team. At the other end there are no end of different combinations that can be played upfront alongside Kane, so if needed Southgate probably has two or three game changers to bring on from the bench if needed.

Benfica puts great pressure on the opponent in their home games, and now, when he needs victory, he should apply a very offensive strategy. Even if Dinamo Zagreb has a good defense, the pressure I was talking about could make the Croats mistaken, in the context of a suffocating atmosphere, maintained by fans who will fill 'Estadio da Luz'. I think the Portuguese team will be on the scoreboard after 90 minutes, even if the score will not be a qualifying one.
Southampton led at Old Trafford last weekend but ended up losing 3-2 to Manchester United. The defeat left them one place above the bottom three and two points clear of Cardiff City. They are lucky that none of the bottom three are in good form at present but Southampton need some points to ensure safety from relegation. That won't be easy as their own form is patchy at present. The home win over Fulham is their only victory in their last six league matches. Home form is a bit more promising with seven points from the last four at St Mary's but six of those points came in January.
Tottenham had a great win at Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday evening to reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League. Their Premier League form has slipped of late though and although still third, they are ten points behind the leaders. More of a concern is they are only four points above fifth-placed Arsenal in the chase to qualify for next season's Champions League. Spurs have only earned one point from their last three league games and it could have been worse but for Arsenal missing a late penalty last weekend. They have lost their last two away league games but before that had won four in a row. This won't be easy but Tottenham can get a narrow away win in this game.
It probably feels like Arsenal are doing the better of these two but it is just because they've had easier fixtures. Since Tottenham beat them in the cup, Arsenal have lost 5-1 to Liverpool and 3-1 to City in matches away to the top six (top two). The home side generally gets the better of this fixture as well with the last four league matches going that way so i'm backing a home win
Tottenham Hotspur have been out of the headlines with Manchester City and Liverpool battling it out at top of the table. If Spurs were to win today they would only be two points off the top. They beat Burnley 1-0 at home this season and won 3-0 away at Burnley last year. Spurs are playing well without Harry Kane and Dele Alli, Son and Eriksen have been great and the away win for Tottenham is my tip.
Bayern Munich are in a dogfight with Borussia Dortmund for the Bundesliga. Liverpool are in similar circumstances with Manchester City in the Premier League. Both sides face a dilemma by going well in two intense competitions that will stretch their big squads. Liverpool have an excellent record at Anfield and are still unbeaten. They did falter by drawing with Leicester City. Liverpool need a first leg lead with Bayern Munich losing just once at home. Ultimately, the draw looks favourite to me.
Borussia Dortmund’s recent run of form has left a lot to be desired about their title credentials and heading to this game against one of the Premier League front runners, Tottenham Hotspur, there is an aspect of their game that they have lost, which could turn very costly here. Dortmund have conceded three goals per game in their last two matches and an earlier draw means they head to this game winless and with very many questions about their defence and its ability to hold off matches. They recently got eliminated from the German Cup by Werder Bremen and soon after let go of a three – goal lead to draw 3 – 3 with Hoffenheim. They have also failed to keep a clean sheet in the last four matches, conceding eight goals and they will hope to close up a bit when they face this Spurs side that has averaged two goals per game in the last three. Two wins and a draw at home was Spurs’ return at the group stage, where they went on to finish second in Group B and having faced Barcelona, they will not be so cowed about this visit. Dortmund have not been the strongest away from home in the Champions League; they have managed just three wins in their last 10 away matches in the competition and lost five. They have also managed just two clean sheets in the last 10 away matches in the competition. Each of these two sides has won twice in the four meetings they have had, and each of the matches has seen over 2.5 goals scored
Tottenham are only five points off the top of the table and their title challenge is very much alive. The clock is ticking til the return of Harry Kane and Dele Alli but despite the lack of signings (again), they have won their last three league games. Son has scored for Tottenham in both of his games since returning from the Asian Cup and with Llorente, Winks and Sissoko all doing their bit, the wins are flowing for Tottenham.
Leicester City are 11th in the table and six points behind the seventh place that may be enough to get into the Europa League. They omly have one point from their last four league games but that was away at Liverpool. Two of their last seven away league games have been won but their manager Claude Puel remains under pressure. Tottenham are the form side here and can get another home win.
What was looking like a disaster on Wednesday evening actually ended up perfectly ok for Tottenham. They were 1-0 down to Watford and a third straight defeat looked on the cards. Then they fought back to win 2-1 and returned to their dressing room to discover Chelsea had lost and Liverpool failed to win. That leaves them seven points off the top spot and seven ahead of fifth place. The return of Son did the job for Spurs and Fernando Llorente even managed to score at the right end. This is the first game of the Premier League weekend and victory over Newcastle would take them to within four points of Liverpool and ten clear of fifth place Chelsea. They may still be without Harry Kane and Dele Alli but they have won their last two league games.
It promised to be a dismal week for Newcastle but they have managed to get hold of a new player and amazingly beat Manchester City 2-1 at home on Tuesday. They start the weekend in 14th place and five points above the relegaton zone. That was their second league win in a row, though the home win over Cardiff City was more expected. United have only won two away league games this season and they were at Burnley and Huddersfield. This will be a lot harder and the tip is for a Tottenham win.
Watford has not lost for 6 games, Tottenham has lost last 2 games and that's why the odd of Tottenham is at this price, in my opinion it's the good moment to place money on them, Tottenham injuries is not so important than some people think, in my opinion it's a value bet Tottenham at home at this price i'll take all the time especially against a team that has not had max 'without losing streak' of 4 since the last 3 seasons. Furthermore because they've won at home against Tottenham, it's a kind of revenge for Tottenham. Hope i see the good story for this one.
You can bet Tottenham would love to find out who decided away goals wouldn't count double in the Carabao Cup. But for that decision, they'd be in the final rather than tasting defeat on penalties. They won't want to be knocked out of another cup competition as they travel to Crystal Palace for this FA Cup fourth round tie. They have won their last five games against Palace but in the game before that lost 1-0 to them at home in this competition. Tottenham may be without three top players and still no sign of any signings.but they still put out a strong line-up at Stamford Bridge on Thursday evening. Away form has been strong this season and they won at Fulham last weekend.
It must be frustrating being a Crystal Palace fan. One minute you're winning at Manchester City, the next you can't beat Cardiff at home and lose to Watford. They lost 4-3 at Anfield last weekend, their third defeat in the last five games in all competitions. Scoring goals is one of their problems and eight times this season they have failed to score in a home game and that includes the 1-0 loss to Tottenham in November. Only three out of 12 home games have been won this season and Palace are likely to leave players out as they prepare for a vital relegation battle at Southampton on Wednesday. Go for Tottenham to get the win here.
Huge price for Spurs, mainly down to their recent form. They have picked up just a point from their last 4 games and are now finding themselves in a top 4 fight. Liverpool have seen City regain top spot and now know they to win. The pressure will fully be on Liverpool and this has seeemd to affect the players over the last couple of months. Spurs haven’t played a game for 23 days - they would have had time to reset and they are worth backing for the shock.
