Leicester created enough chances to get something out of their game with Manchester United, but the point they got against Liverpool last week is the only thing they have to show from their past five games in all competitions. In contrast, Tottenham just keep on finding a way to win games despite obviously still being without some of their key players. When you look into why or how they have done it, it all leads back to Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino. I think he will collect another three points here.
Tottenham are only five points off the top of the table and their title challenge is very much alive. The clock is ticking til the return of Harry Kane and Dele Alli but despite the lack of signings (again), they have won their last three league games. Son has scored for Tottenham in both of his games since returning from the Asian Cup and with Llorente, Winks and Sissoko all doing their bit, the wins are flowing for Tottenham. Leicester City are 11th in the table and six points behind the seventh place that may be enough to get into the Europa League. They omly have one point from their last four league games but that was away at Liverpool. Two of their last seven away league games have been won but their manager Claude Puel remains under pressure. Tottenham are the form side here and can get another home win.
Spurs have managed to squeeze wins out of their last three league games without Kane and Alli in the ranks which is a good sign but I wouldn’t be surprised to see them falter here. The return of Son has helped ease the burden on Llorente and given the team some confidence but Leicester play very strong counter attacking football and will come here thinking they can contain this attack just as Newcastle nearly did while it’s the type of game Vardy thrives in and a game plan that’s already worked against for them against Chelsea and City this season.
Tottenham is one of the favorites of the championship. The team has never played a draw, but suffered as many as 5 defeats. Lester has already defeated Chelsea and in the last round played a draw with Liverpool. Complicates the struggle for the victory of the absence in the composition of the ally in question and part in the match Harry Kane, but it will be a good occasion to test how effective the bench. Spurs should get this with a home record of 8-0-4 and Leicester away 5-3-5. Spurs need this to keep in touch with City and Liverpool.
