Bayern Munich reached the German Cup final last season but lost to Eintracht Frankfurt. That won't happen this time around as the cup holders lost to fourth division SSV Ulm in the first round. Bayern saw their hopes of winning the Bundesliga suffer a blow when losing 3-1 at Bayer Leverkusen at the weekend. That was their first defeat since November when losing to league leaders Borussia Dortmund.
Hertha Berliin are ninth in the Bundesliga but aren't in the best of form at present with only one win in thier last two league games. Only one of their last three home games have been won and they have only won two home matches since September. This looks booked for Bayern to get the win against a team definitely struggling to get results.

VELTINS-Arena will host Wednesday’s football game between Schalke 04 and Werder Bremen, the two teams who take on each other in the DFB Pokal quarter-finals. Schalke 04 are high on confidence following a very important win at Hannover, but the game against Werder will be anything but a walk in the park for the host. Heidenheim’s attacking numbers will give them plenty of belief ahead of this match, particularly since they’ll be going up against a Leverkusen side that will do anything but sit back.

The visitors recently scored in defeat away against Mainz, while they’ve also notched away against Augsburg, Schalke and Werder Bremen this season. They’ve not won any of those game and have looked massively suspect at the back, but the fact that they’ve offered something going forward is positive.
The problem for the visitors is that they have arguably the most leaky defence in all of Germany at present. Nurnberg have conceded a staggering average of 3.22 goals on the road, while they’ve conceded at least twice in each of their last seven on the road. Shipping goals against top sides such as Bayern is excusable, though doing so against bottom-half side sides such as Schalke, Augsburg and Mainz is anything but.
Given the visitors’ defensive woes, this looks like a good opportunity for the hosts. At the prices, the bet that stands out is ‘Hamburg to Win & Both Teams to Score’. Against slightly lesser opposition, Nurnberg, who have scored against several of the weaker Bundesliga outfits, can get competitive, but their defensive efforts against even the weaker top-tier sides suggest that they’ll once again come up short at the back.

In the betting, predictably, Bayern are heavy favourites, though there’s reason to feel that Leipzig are slightly overpriced. Bayern have offered more going forward than Rangnick’s men this season, but they’ve been ever so slightly less secure at the back. What’s more, they didn’t exactly perform as though they warrant heavy odds-on favouritism when drawing 0-0 at Red Bull Arena a fortnight ago.

As the league table suggests, Bayern are the best side in Germany, but in a one-off game, they’re far from infallible. Moreover, the disparity between the two simply appears to be less than the current odds suggest, so a small punt on ‘Leipzig Draw No Bet’ offers punters a chunk of value.

Pour notre pronostic, on mise sur une victoire de Dortmund.
