Peru aren’t just fresh from a 5-0 hammering by Brazil, they’ve also failed to score in three of their last four Copa America games. Meanwhile, Uruguay have won five of their last six, while just 12 months ago they were mixing it with some of the best sides in world football. We think there’s a bigger gulf between these two than the odds currently suggest. After all, Uruguay have won four of their last five meetings with Peru. We’re backing them to claim another win this weekend and leap into this competition’s last four.

It’s been a relatively pleasing campaign for AIK, who currently sit 3rd. They do find themselves six points behind league leaders Malmo, though it remains early days. The fact that his side are unbeaten in six will please manager Rikard Norling, though he will be looking to close the gap at the top. Fortunately, this home match against Norrkoping presents the hosts with a gilt-edged opportunity to take another step in the right direction.

AIK’s relative success this season has been down to excellent form at home. On their travels, they’ve been a bit up and down, winning two, drawing two and losing two, though they’ve been very solid on their own patch, winning five, drawing one and losing none of their six games at Friends Arena.

Angola made it through a tight group on their way here, edging out Mauritania and Burkina Faso to make the tournament. They were fine in qualifying, but there’s little in their results to suggest that they’ll be much of a threat in Egypt. Tunisia are a team who will be focusing on making the last eight, while they’ve built up form going into this one. With three straight victories behind them going into the tournament, the North African side are in good shape.

Tunisia booked their place at the tournament with five wins in six qualifiers, while they meet an Angola side who picked up the majority of their points at home. Without home advantage to spur them on, we expect Tunisia to take the points in this clash, especially given that they’ve managed to bed in a solid defence behind their attacking talent. With that in mind, a Tunisia victory is our tip here.

Bulgaria’s efforts in Kosovo weren’t amazing, they did avoid defeat, while their overall efforts on the road during the UEFA Nations League were reasonably encouraging. Their three travelling games in that competition yielded a win, a draw and a loss. Such a string of results is far from impressive, but it’s not too bad either, while their underlying numbers were respectable, as they averaged 1.47 expected goals for and conceded and average of 0.94.

If we consider how Czech Republic performed at home during the Nations League in relation to how Bulgaria performed on the road in the same competition, then it’s not at all difficult to make a case for the visitors in the betting.

Given that none of their recent performances have been pleasing, the Czech’s look somewhat overpriced ahead of Friday’s clash. In contrast, there appears to be plenty of juice in the price of the visitors. Quite simply, when we take everything into consideration, Bulgaria look to have a great chance of winning than the current odds suggest, so supporting the travelling side is easy to do.

Logic says Liverpool, but where has logic been throughout this remarkable Champions League campaign?

Tottenham, in my opinion, are far more adaptable to a cagey European final, whereas Liverpool will play their heavy-metal football regardless of the occasion – often to their detriment.

The Reds would’ve been hoping for Ajax. Spurs know too much about them. I expect Pochettino to outsmart Klopp.

In the betting, predictably, Bayern are heavy favourites, though there’s reason to feel that Leipzig are slightly overpriced. As the league table suggests, Bayern are the best side in Germany, but in a one-off game, they’re far from infallible. Moreover, the disparity between the two simply appears to be less than the current odds suggest, so a small punt on ‘Leipzig Draw No Bet’ offers punters a chunk of value.

Messaoud and Ómarsson joint top scored in the Eredivisie for Excelsior this season with seven goals apiece, while Hansson and Seys both netted twelve goals each in the Eerste Divisie for RKC. We’re confident that both teams will score and over 2.5 goals will be produced on Wednesday, and have predicted a final scoreline of 3-2 to Excelsior. Although we are backing Excelsior to win the 2nd leg, a 3-2 scoreline would be enough to see RKC through to the Final via the away goals rule. Both teams head into the game with a lack of clean sheets, but with plenty of goals being scored, and that should make for an entertaining ninety minutes on Wednesday.

Sunderland hold a slim 1-0 advantage heading into a tough second leg tie away at Portsmouth.

Chris Maguire's thunderous effort was enough to give the Black Cats victory in a tight contest that could well have ended level.

It puts Pompey in the difficult position of having to secure a win against a team who haven't lost many games this season. While it is a challenge, Kenny Jackett's men are capable of passing it.

Their home form, on the whole, has been good. While they had to settle for dropped points in their final two games of the regular season in front of their own supporters, the results gained at Fratton Park against top-half sides can give them hope.

While draws dominated February, including games against Barnsley and Doncaster, they beat Sunderland just before Christmas and they will need to draw upon that if they are to turn this contest around.

We’re of the view that Moreirense have it in them to get a goal against this Desportivo Aves side, but it might not quite be as many as the goals that they could concede.
