The loss was only Watford’s second in a run of 12 matches and it ended a run of three straight wins while Leicester City’s win was the first in eight matches and only the second win the last 10 matches. Leicester have picked five wins in the last seven meetings with Watford, this includes two straight wins in the most recent meetings. Brighton lost again in mid week at Leicester and they really are in a relation battle and badly need a win here, having not won a PL game in 2019 and lost four of their last five. This looks a must win game for the hosts and one they should win as the visitors are bottom of the table and in danger of going down with the lowest ever points total. But they did surprisingly complete the double over Wolves in mid week which will give them a boost, but then they never seem to lose against the Dingles and I expect them to resume to normal service on the south coast and suffer another fairly heavy defeat.

Fulham are poor defensively and stats sjow that they haven’t won an away game in the league all season and have picked up a just 2 points from a possible 42 on the road. Southampton are winlesss in 4, so form that saw them have 4 victories in a run of 7 Premier League games needs to return...fast. Though I think Fulham are the best team to play at the minute if your forwards are short of confidence.

Everton have had an extended time off action and will head to this clash the more rested than Cardiff who were in action on Friday and facing a side with one of the poorest defences in the league should inspire confidence in the Toffees, with Cardiff currently on a -27 goal difference. Everton will look at this as a perfect time to get back to winning ways after three straight losses in their league matches. They also have just three wins in their 13 away matches this season and they will badly hope to win this, especially with the investment they did this season in the playing unit. Cardiff have lost three of their last five home matches but they have five wins and three losses in the last 10 home games in the Premier League, which should inspire a lot of hope ahead of the game. Head to head, Everton have managed 10 wins in the 29 meetings between the two, while Cardiff have won 11. Everton are unbeaten in eight matches against Cardiff, but that stretches back to the 50s.

Arsenal are looking to rise to the top four with a win in this game and Southampton knows a win will be crucial for their survival ambitions, as it could get them off the relegation zone and set them on course to safety. Southampton beat Arsenal in the first leg and will be seeking to seal a double over the Gunners. Coming from a 3 – 0 win over BATE in the Europa League, Arsenal are in the right mood for this clash and with six straight wins in the Premier League at home, they will be eyeing revenge for the first leg loss. Arsenal are not only on six straight home wins in the league, they have not lost any of their last 12 home matches in the league, winning 10 and drawing two. They have scored two goals or more in five of their last six home league games but they have just four clean sheets in the 13 home matches in the Premier League this season. On the other hand, Southampton head to the game winless in their last three matches and with just four wins in the last 15. The Saints have kept just one clean sheet in their last 15 matches. Interestingly, they are unbeaten in their last five away matches, winning two and drawing three. In the Premier League, away from home, they are unbeaten in four, winning two and drawing two. In 13 away games in the league, Southampton have managed just three clean sheets. Fulham seem unable to rise from the red zone and are staring at relegation; they have had really so little to boast of in the season and while they can afford to say they take a better form to this clash, it will be hard to argue that they can pick three points in this London Derby. At some point in the season West Ham seemed unable to match the expectations and were stuck low on the table but at the start of December they put up a great run that saw the side pick seven wins and just one loss in 10 matches. That lasted for about a month and now they head to this game winless in their last five matches, without a clean sheet in the run, having conceded 11 goals and scored just four. In the run, they were also eliminated by League One side AFC Wimbledon. After managing a 1 – 1 draw with Crystal Palace in their last match, they will be hoping for a better outing here and they will be glad to be playing at home, there they have not lost in the last four, and scored in each of the four.
