Arsenal are looking to rise to the top four with a win in this game and Southampton knows a win will be crucial for their survival ambitions, as it could get them off the relegation zone and set them on course to safety. Southampton beat Arsenal in the first leg and will be seeking to seal a double over the Gunners. Coming from a 3 – 0 win over BATE in the Europa League, Arsenal are in the right mood for this clash and with six straight wins in the Premier League at home, they will be eyeing revenge for the first leg loss. Arsenal are generally strong at home and having secured a passage through to the next round in the Europa League they will look to continue with confidence domestically. Southampton won't make it easy but Arsenal just edge the last 6 matches between the sides with 3 wins 1 draw and 2 losses. Arsenal will be wanting to end in the top 4 and against a Southampton side who are fighting relegation I think Arsenal will take this.

Must win for Arsenal as they have seen 3 defeats from their last 7 Premier League games, with United passing them in the league table. However, at home Arsenal are superb as they haven’t lost a league game since their opening weekend against Manchester City, and have 6 wins on the trot to date in the league. For Southampton, away from home they have lost 7 times this season and things will not get better at the Emirates.
