Bosnia open their Euro 2022 campaign with two home games on the bounce against this weekend’s opponents Armenia and Greece on Tuesday so will be determined to get off to a good start. They haven’t played an International fixture since they lost 1-0 to Spain in a friendly back in November. They had an excellent Nations League campaign winning three of their four games and drawing the other in a tough group which consisted of themselves, Austria and Northern Ireland to see them promoted to League A for the next edition.
After this weekend’s game Armenia have two home games against Finland and Liechtenstein which they will see as both winnable games so their goal here will be to try and come away with at least a point from Bosnia and that would set them up nicely in the group. With the top 2 going through and Italy in their group it looks like a fight between Bosnia, Armenia and Greece for the 2nd qualification spot and although it’s only game week one this could be a massive game in terms of deciding who goes through.
