They beat Rapid Vienna 5 – 0 on aggregate in the last round but this German side is going to pose a stiffer challenge, especially considering it is one nine matches without a loss and growing in confidence. Eintracht Frankfurt have lost just two and won 11 of their last 15 home matches and they have an incredible run of eight wins and two draws in their last 10 home matches in the Europa League. They have scored two goals or more in each of the last nine home matches in the competition and facing Inter who have one win in the last eight Europa League away games will inspire confidence in them. In the last six away matches in the Europa League, Inter have managed just one clean sheet and they have conceded two goals or more in five but they have scored in each of the six. The only meeting in history so far, between these two sides came in a friendly match, which Eintracht Frankfurt won 3 – 1.

Both of these teams had excellent first halves of the season but have struggled in 2019. Borussia Dortmund have seen their points lead at the top of the Bundesliga wiped out, while Tottenham's Premier League title challenge is all but over. Dortmund have it all to do in the Champions League though, losing 3-0 at Wembley. They could have done with an away goal in the first leg and if Tottenham can score one on Tuesday, Dortmund will have to score five times in 90 minutes. Friday saw them lose 2-1 at Augsburg and they only lead Bayern Munich on goal difference now. Only one of their last seven league and cup games have been won and only twice in the last 14 have they kept a clean sheet.
Tottenham haven't won any of their three games since the first leg. They lost away to both Burnley and Chelsea and then drew 1-1 with Arsenal at the weekend. That could easily have been another loss if Arsenal hadn't missed a late penalty. Spurs are still third in the Premier League but 10 points off the top at time of writing (11 if Liverpool beat Everton on Sunday). Their away form in the Champions League is a worry with no wins in the last four but they have won at Dortmund previously in 2017 and won their last three games against the Germans. The tip here is for over 2.5 goals to be scored in what should be an open game as the home side try to get back into the tie.

Fenerbahce have at least risen from the relegation region in the Super Lig after a run of fairly impressive results but they head to this game on the back of yet another loss in the league so they will be hoping to get back to winning ways. It is not like they had a good run at the group stage; Fenerbahce managed just eight points from the six matches at the first round and finished six points behind group winners Dinamo Zagreb. Zenit on the other hand finished top of Group C on 11 points and unlike Fenerbahce, they are on top of the Russian league and will definitely be challenge for the title in a very tight race. Zenit last played competitively in December and ahead of their league resumption in match. As well as the Europa League, they have been strengthening with friendly matches and will hope to pick up fast, having won three of the last four friendly matches. Fenerbahce have three wins only in their last 10 Europa League matches, while they have suffered four losses but they have a fairly good run at home in the competition, having managed eight wins in the last 12. They haven’t conceded a goal at home this season in the competition and they will be keen to keep that run going. Zenit on the other hand were unbeaten in the group stages for five matches until they met Sparta Praha in their final group game; they have three losses in the last 11 Europa League matches and though they topped their group, they didn’t win any away win there, drawing two and losing the other. This Champions League group is so tight, only bottom side Red Star Belgrade can't win it but they could still qualify. In fact, Liverpool go into this game knowing by the end of it, they could finish top, second, stay third or even finish bottom and be knocked out of European competition for the season. Liverpool can actually win this game and still end up not qualifying, it's going to be a tense night for sure. The Reds are top of the Premier League and unbeaten but it's been a struggle for them in this Champions League group due to their losing all three away games.
